Ex-Chief & Commissioner William (Bill) Faltin has answered his last alarm.

It is with deep regret the East Northport Fire Department announces the passing of 55 year member, Ex Chief and Commissioner William Faltin. Badge #111


Bill joined the East Northport Fire Department in September of 1969 and worked his way through the ranks of Lieutenant and Captain before serving as Chief of Department from 1981-1983.

Bill was a regular Chauffeur of Engine 1 assigned to Station 1.

Bill also served as Fire District Commissioner since 2020 and was active member of the Town of Huntington Fire Chiefs Association and the Suffolk County Fire Chiefs Association.


We thank Bill, for all of his hard-work and dedication to the East Northport Fire Department, Fire District and our community.


Our department deeply mourns his loss and he will never be forgotten.

***All civilians wishing to attend a viewing of the funeral procession for Ex-Chief and Commissioner William (Bill) Faltin are asked to be at East Northport Fire Headquarters (1 9th Avenue) on Wednesday January 31st by 10:30am.

Civilians are asked to assemble on the east side of Larkfield Road across from Fire Headquarters in the vicinity of Kew Avenue.

Parking is available in the south municipal parking lot.***
