ENFD Firefighters were dispatched to a Vehicle Fire with reported extension to a residential garage at 6th Street and Pulaski Rd just before 10:30pm last night.
Under the command of Chief Heffernan and Assistant Chief Flanagan, firefighters quickly worked to extinguish a fire in the engine compartment of a four door sedan as well as an exterior fire on the garage that the vehicle had been parked in front of. Three engines, E-1, E-3, E-6 a mini pumper E-7, an ambulance and a paramedic responded to the scene. There were no injuries. The scene was turned over to the Suffolk County Police Department for investigation.
