Car Fire on Larkfield Rd.

 
 Chief Steven Macedonio, who happened to be in the area quickly arrived on scene to find a heavily involved engine compartment fire that had extended into the passenger compartment of a four door auto. Crews from Engine’s 2-10-1 and 2-10-6 arrived on scene and checked to ensure all occupants had self evacuated prior to extinguishing the fire. Crews operated on the scene for just over a half hour. There were no injuries. The scene was turned over to the Suffolk County Police Department for further investigation.
