| On Monday September 22nd 2008 the East Northport Fire Dept was activated for a reported house fire at the above location. Upon arrival of the 1st due Chief he found a fire in the rear of a 2 story residence and immediately requested a reactivation for a working fire. Firefighters moved quickly to fight a fast moving fire before it could get too far. Greenlawn and Commack FD's provided assistance on scene while Centerport and Northport FD's covered the district. Under the command of Chief's Gosik, McCoy and Tarantino the ENFD responded with 2 engines, a ladder truck, a rescue truck and numerous support vehicles. | On the morning of March 9th 2008 the ENFD was activated for a possible structure fire in the vicinity of Old Bridge Rd and Marirod Ct. 1st Due units encountered a house under development fully involved. Units responded under the command of Chief Bruce Gosik and 2nd Asst Chief Michael Tarantino. Mutual aid was requested from the Kings Park FD for 1 ladder and the Northport FD for 1 Rapid Intervention Team. |

| On Wednesday January 30, 2008 members of the East Northport Fire Department responded to a report of a car fire in the vicinity of Pulaski rd and OLD bridge road. Upon arrival of Chief Bruce Gosik, he confirmed a working car fire at the above location. ENFD utilized 2 engines under the command of Chief Gosik and 2nd Asst. Chief Mike Tarantino. | On Friday January 26th, the members of the East Northport FD responded to an automatic alarm at a residence on middleville road. First due engines were advised of another call from a neighbor and pd sector car 216 on scene stating working fire. Capt Heffernan immediately requested the resounding of a working fire and mutual aids from northport and kings park. Units encountered heavy fire in a garage/family room. Crews quickly worked to contain the fire which had already taken control of the garage and family room prior to the arrival on units. Under the command of Chief Bruce Gosik the ENFD responded with 3 engines, a ladder, a rescue, 2 ambulances in addition to an engine from Northport,one from Kings Park and an engine from Greenlawn. Also Commack FD and Centerports Ambulance Crew stood by at ENFD's main house. Great job by Capt. Heffernan and his crew to stop the blaze. | On January 5th the ENFD was activated for a report of a motor vehicle accident in the vicinity of Elwood rd and Rocco Dr. Upon arrival of 1st Asst. Chief John McCoy found a 2 vehicle mva involving a small sedan and a box truck. Chief McCoy immediately confirmed a pinned individual and requested SCPD aviation. Under the command of Chief Bruce Gosik and 1st Asst. Chief McCoy the ENFD used the jaws of life and various hydraulic tools the extricate the patient from the vehicle. Photos By FF/EMT Rich Demling |
